No Stone Unturned

As we near the Easter season, my heart is full. Easter has always been my favorite holiday. I love the freshness and newness of spring, I love the baby animals, the chocolate, and of course, I love celebrating the life and resurrection of Christ. While I love Christmas because it celebrates Christ’s birth, I love Easter more because it celebrates Christ’s resurrection — the greatest gift of all (see D&C 6:13 and D&C 14:7). His love permeates every bit of my heart during the Easter season and I am so full of joy.

Christ came to this earth for me. And for you. For every one of you. There is not a single person He did not come to redeem. He loves us each individually and without end, unconditionally. Do you know how special that is? How beautiful?

Christ has surely “borne our griefs and carried our sorrows” so that He might “succor His people according to their infirmities“. He knows. He knows our struggles, our heartaches, our pains. And because He knows, He can comfort us perfectly, if we only let Him. And because He chose to die, and because He was resurrected, ALL of us might be resurrected as well, and live forever, and indeed, live with Him, if we but repent and use His Atonement, and fall at His feet.

A favorite hymn of mine is I Stand All Amazed, and I’d love to share the lyrics with you, here, today.

I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me,
Confused at the grace that so fully he proffers me.
I tremble to know that for me he was crucified,
That for me, a sinner, he suffered, he bled and died.

I marvel that he would descend from his throne divine
To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine,
That he should extend his great love unto such as I,
Sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify.

I think of his hands pierced and bleeding to pay the debt!
Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget?
No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat,
Until at the glorified throne I kneel at his feet.

Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me
Enough to die for me!
Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me!

Jesus did pay the debt. He did rescue us. He did and He does show us such mercy and grace. And He DOES still seek us out, every one of us, in order to save us. He leaves no stone unturned. And for that, I am forever grateful, and amazed.

Right now, Family Christian has some amazing t-shirts available, on sale for only $7.97 through March 12th. These are such a great way to show your love and appreciation and adoration of God, smply by wearing a simple shirt. I received the “No Stone Unturned” tee, which spurred the content of this post, but there are 12 to choose from. I think my favorite is the “Best Day Ever” one and I’m looking forward to receiving it in the mail!

I received free product from Family Christian in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
