Baby #2 | 33 Weeks

Technically my 31 week picture, but…. That’s what you get 🙂

Yowza, here we are at 33 weeks. Where has the time gone? If baby girl comes when her brother did (at 37 weeks) we could have a baby in only four weeks. I guess we better get that nursery painted 😉 It’s only recently started to hit me that we are having a girl. I went and picked up some hand-me-downs from a friend last week, and my first order of baby clothes came in the mail the same day, and oh-my-goodness, I forgot how tiny those clothes are! And baby girl clothes, so cute! I’m dying to find out what she looks like… If she follows in her brother’s steps and is a little blondie, or if I’m going to get a little brunette mini-me. I’m also curious as to what we’ll name her. We have the same two names picked out, but we’re waiting to see her, and I cannot wait to see what name fits her the best.

As far as pregnancy goes, I’m definitely feeling it now. Baby girls moves and juts her bum and elbows and who knows what else out all the time, and although I love feeling her, those movements hurt! I also have to pee all the time, and my congestion has gotten much worse. I’ve been experiencing Braxton Hicks, I think, and sometimes I have to lay down just because carrying this load around hurts. But, of course, all things considered, I’m preeeetty blessed with how my pregnancies are. I’m still at about 8 pounds gained, and I think my doctor things I’m dieting or somehow trying to not gain weight, which isn’t true! I have no clue how my body is doing what it’s doing, but baby seems to measuring right on, so we’re not concerned too much.

Abe, of course, really has no idea what is going on. Although sometimes when I ask where baby sister is he’ll point to or pat my tummy. But as to just what that means…. I’m pretty certain he has no clue. I’ll be so interested to see how he reacts to her when she comes, and of course I’m so excited to watch them grow up together! I never had a sibling growing up, so I am thrilled that they will have each other.

Mostly, we are getting anxious for her to come, and I can’t believe that she will be here before Thanksgiving and Christmas — what?! Oh, baby girl, you’re so loved already. We can’t wait to meet you and see your sweet face.
