What I Read February 2016

Another month, some more books read!

Black Death in A New Age by Kathy T. Kale

2 stars. This is a book I bought a long time ago when the Kindle version was free on Amazon. The premise is really interesting, and I thought it was going to be really good. It’s about a plaque breaking out in a small town and finding out who’s behind it, etc. – but the ending just felt SO forced and quick, which is what brought it down from 3 stars to 2. I wouldn’t bother with this one.

Breaking Busy by Alli Worthington

Winter by Marissa Meyer

3 stars. This is the last book of The Lunar Chronicles series (not counting Fairest or the other novellas). And it was a good ending. However, I’m still not a huge fan of this series, like so many of my friends are. Cinder (book one) is so boring, but luckily each book got better and better. And like I said, I appreciated the ending and how it all came together. However, there was too much of The Hunger Games happening in this one (anyone else draw those comparisons?) which I guess is to be expected given both series happen in dystopian worlds. Anyhow. I still will be picking up Fairest at some point, but I doubt I will think much about this series after that.
