A 30 by 30 Update

30 by 30

A year and a half years ago (in 2016), I posted a 30 by 30 list, a list of 30 things I wanted to accomplish by the time I turned 30 years old. Well, February brought my half-birthday, I’m 28 and a half years old, so I’ve got 18 months until 30 hits (WHAT?), and I wanted to post an updated list, to see what I can check off, and see if I needed/want to change up a few goals.

  1. Take my kids on a Disney vacation. (Done in March 2017, see the last post about it here – the others are linked at the beginning of it!)
  2. Attend a bloggers conference. (While not exclusively for bloggers, I’m counting Momday!)
  3. Attend an Allison’s Dance Party!
  4. Go on a zipline.
  5. Go parasailing.
  6. Go on a cruise.
  7. Run a Ragnar.
  8. Buy a DSLR (and learn how to use it).
  9. Have one more baby. (Coming at you May of this year!)
  10. Attend a UBAM convention. (Wasn’t for me.)
  11. Run at least 1 5K per year. (Yes, in 2016 — counting my triathlon’s 5k. No, in 2017. I have 2 in mind to register for for 2018.)
  12. Do at least one more triathlon. (Planning for next year! 2019!)
  13. Lose 10 pounds and keep it off for at least a year before I turn 30.
  14. Be consistent in my workout routine.
  15. Read The Book of Mormon once per year. (Done once!)
  16. Read Jesus The Christ.
  17. Read 50 books per year. (Done in 2017!)
  18. Go on a girls trip. (Had a girls weekend last year, so I’m counting it as done. But I wouldn’t say no to going on a real “trip” 😉)
  19. Go on a couples trip.
  20. Have the whole upstairs of my house painted and decorated.
  21. ….. and have started on the basement. (Planning on doing it this year!)
  22. Continue growing my blog, working on good content and fostering relationships with readers. (Done, but also still ongoing.)
  23. Sell at least $1000 in books a month via my Usborne business. (Wasn’t for me.)
  24. Promote to an Usborne Team Leader. (Wasn’t for me.)
  25. Go to Glacier National Park.
  26. Visit our friends in northern Idaho.
  27. Keep downsizing and minimalizing and getting rid of stuff. (Yes, but still ongoing!)
  28. Plan an awesome surprise date (or getaway!) for Kyle and I.
  29. Create a Pocatello bucket list with Kyle.
  30. Buy a van. (Yes! Bought last weekend!)

Andddd bonus: 31. Re-read the Harry Potter series twice more 😉 (Done once in 2017!)

So there you go, a little update on these “goals” of mine. It’s always nice to see how I’ve progressed, and what I still want to do.
