It’s Fall

Woof.

It’s been a while.

I had a goal at the beginning of the year to start posting more on this space again, and then everything corona happened, and the state of the country has become a hot mess of a dumpster fire, and it was summer and then we were waiting to find out what exactly the fall would bring, so here we are 6 months later, with finally, FINALLY a bit of a routine.

I salute everyone who has managed to keep content coming because over here I have felt so uninspired, so tired, so busy but not at the same time. But I’m back, at least for a couple of posts, and let’s cross my fingers I can find some time to write again because I miss it. 2020 has been a rough one (understatement of the century) but I think it has led to a lot of growth for a lot of people, myself included. And I’d love to explore that a little more, here, in writing.

Today, with the nip of fall in the air, my sweater on, and pumpkins on my porch, I”m feeling hopeful. Not that things are necessarily going to get better (I fear they might get worse as we come up to the presidential election), but hopeful that my soul is closer to finding it’s own peace amidst these crazy times. That the beauty of this season will be a gift to me, and that the road I’m on will lead me closer to God and who I ultimately want to be.

I’m grateful every day for my blessings, my husband, my family, my faith, my body, my mind, and my knowledge.

So here’s to finding beauty from the ashes.

Here’s to starting over.

Here’s to learning and growing.

Here’s to the path you’re on, even if it looks differently than you thought it would.

Here’s to you, and here’s to me.
