Jalapeno Popper Crescents with the Grillware Football Griller + Giveaway!

We like football at our house — especially NCAA (Go Cougars!) but we also watch the occasional NFL game on Saturdays and Sundays, and of course, we watch the Super Bowl. And what better way to watch than with treats?! Am I right? And it’s usually a special treat since we don’t make and eat food items like that too often. One of our favorites is 7 Layer Dip, but another favorite is a recipe I came up with for jalapeno popper crescents. I’m not a big fan of regular jalapeno poppers — too much jalapeno and too little cheese — so I came up with an idea for a way that I can enjoy them, and so will everyone else. And, to help me make that dish…. I present to you the Grillware Football Griller. This little (or rather, big) platter is a game changer for sure (see what I did there?) and I bet by the end of this post you’ll want one.

The Grillware Football Griller looks cute, first of all. What better way to serve food at a football party than with a platter that looks like a football? Second, it’s so versatile. You can use this thing in the fridge, on the stovetop, in the oven, on the grill…. The possibilities are endless. Put together whatever treat you’d like, place it on the griller, and store it in the freezer until it’s time to cook. Then pull it out, stick it on the grill or in the oven, then straight to the table it goes for serving. Leftovers? No problem! Place it directly in the fridge. I use the the griller in a similar way when I make these crescents — I make them ahead of time, then stick them in the fridge until it’s time to cook. Not only does it save time, but there are less dishes to wash, so that’s a complete win in my book. (Although please note that the griller is NOT dishwasher safe. But it takes just a jiffy to wash!) And lastly, it has a lifetime guarantee. So that is pretty awesome, too.

Jalapeno Popper Crescents
Makes 8 crescents, but is easily doubled, triples, quadrupled!

Ingredients:
1 package of crescent rolls dough
1/2 jalapeno, diced
4 ounces softened cream cheese
1 tablespoon shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon bacon bits

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray your griller or baking tray with cooking spray.
Place all ingredients besides the dough in a food processor and blend together. Put one spoonful of the mixture into each triangle of dough, roll up like a regular crescent, sealing the ends.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until dough is cooked through and slightly browned.

Looks delicious, no? Have I sold you on the Football Griller yet? If so — good news for you! Grillware is graciously giving away 5 (FIVE!) grillers, and you could be a winner.
