Hair, Hair, Hair | Part II

Y’all. This is going to be a real post. About dandruff. Yikes! If that grosses you out, feel free to click away, but, if you’re like me, and suffer from this crapola, maybe you’ll like this post. Maybe? 🙂 You see, I have suffered from dandruff for seriously forever. Like…. I don’t really remember a time when I didn’t. Some periods of time it’s worse than others but there’s always some sort of flakiness going on. Here’s a list of the remedies I have tried (bolded are ones that kinda sorta worked): Selsun Blue, Head and Shoulders, T/Gel Shampoo, Coal Tar Shampoo, Tea Tree Oil in shampoo, and Tea Tree shampoo

I’ve found that using tea tree oil makes my roots greasy (but not my top roots, the roots on the underside of my hair, by the nape of my neck, weird?) and I also will find one product that works but then it will stop working after a period of time. Bummer.

When I saw that Pura d’or was willing to send out bottles of their dandruff shampoo, I said sign me up! I really enjoyed their hair loss prevention shampoo and argan oil based conditioner, so I was excited to try the shampoo that was really formulated to my needs. It hasn’t done too much yet, to be honest, but I’m still going to keep using it, because sometimes it just takes a while for products to work on my hair. Plus I love that Pura d’or is organic — I feel good about using it on my hair! I did notice that it made my roots a tiny bit greasy in back, which is what I have noticed from using other essential oil based shampoos, but I’ve found a way to work around that, so I’ll stick with it for now to see if I see any other results. Pura d’or was amazing and also sent me another bottle of  Argan Oil, which is pure gold and I that I love using.

What about you? Do you suffer from dandruff? What have you found that works?
