Weekend Getaway | Victoria, BC

Kyle and I celebrate our 5 year anniversary in May (FIVE!) and we wanted to take an anniversary trip to Seattle and Victoria, BC before we move. Luckily. I was able to convince Kyle to go a couple of weekends ago since it happened to be the weekend that the PNW Bloggers were having a meet and great.

We drove over to Seattle on Saturday afternoon, and I then met up with the girls for a food tour of Pike Place and dinner. On Sunday morning we caught the ferry over to Victoria and we stayed in Victoria for 2 nights, coming home on the ferry on Tuesday evening, then driving back home, arriving around 1:30 am (Wednesday).

While we were in Victoria we had the opportunity to go to Buchart Gardens, and they were amazing! So, so beautiful, and it’s only spring! I can’t even imagine what it looks like in summer when even more flowers have bloomed.

We were so lucky to have good weather the whole time we were there! It was rainy the first day, but we had gorgeous weather for our day at Buchart Gardens, and Tuesday was nice too, just a little breezy. Also, we had SUCH GOOD FOOD. Fish and chips, clam chowder, fish tacos and ice cream down on Fisherman’s Wharf, and the most delicious sweet potato fries (plus yummy sandwiches and pastries) at the Dutch Bakery downtown. I’ll also be posting a recap of my night in Seattle, but for today, here are some photos from our time in Victoria.

Have you been to Victoria and the Buchart Gardens?
