Blogtember 2015 – Day 25 + 3 Songs

I’ve always enjoyed music. I’m not the most musically inclined, though. I can carry a tune, and really enjoy singing, and I can pick out some tunes on the piano with my right hand, and I might be able to strum a song or two on the guitar, but that’s about all. But still, music connects with me. I’m sure a lot of you feel the same. It’s just a great way to feel the feels. And so today I’m happy to share with you three songs I’m currently connecting with.

Day 25: Three songs you are connecting with right now.

1 | Fight Song
This is the most recent song on the list, and one that I loved the first time I heard it. It’s a real “girl power” song. We really can make a difference. We can turn our journey around. We can prove them all wrong. Get it, girl.

2 | Photograph
Ed Sheeran, amiright? I mean, his voice, his skills, his lyrics. And let’s not forget one of the greatest music videos ever made. I always, always enjoy his songs. And this newer one is no different. It gets me all nostalgic about young love and high school and long distance relationships. Does it apply to my life now? No. But it takes me back whenever I hear it.

3 | Live Like You Believe
I’m currently trying to really re-center my faith and testimony, and this song is one that helps remind me how to do that. The only way we can do that? By living like we believe. If we’re unsure about a gospel principle, we need to try it out. Or we’ll never gain that testimony of it. If you’re not sure if God answers prayers, pray! If you’re not sure if church is the place for you, try it out! Just go. By showing God you’re willing to do what he asks, He’ll show you He’s there.

So there are my three songs! I’m excited to hear all about yours!
