Gift Guide for Bloggers | A Guest Post

A big thank you to Jaelan for sharing this fun gift guide for bloggers today. Jaelan’s blog is the real deal, guys, and I’m pretty sure you’ll love it — so check it out!

I’m so honored to be guest posting for Britt today! I’m Jaelan, blogger at Making Mrs. M. I’m a beauty-junkie turned blogger. I like beer and baking. Now for the goods —
We bloggers are an interesting bunch, aren’t we? One reason I think the blogging community is so close-knit is because our “regular” friends just don’t get what we do… that’s why I decided to put together a blogger Christmas gift guide for all of your non-blogger friends! Bloggers can appreciate the awesomeness of these gifts, but people outside the community may just not think of them. Share this list with your non-bloggy friends!
Now, I’m not saying all bloggers are alike, but I don’t know ANY that would turn down:
1 | A Fancy Paper Planner
Bloggers work in a virtual world, but most bloggers I know still prefer to keep track of everything the old fashioned way–with a pen and paper. There are many popular planners in the blogging community. For instance, the Erin Condren Life Planner is a favorite among busy bloggers. There are certain customizations that can be made, and overall it brings a fun aesthetic to dates and to-do lists.
My personal favorite, and arguably the most customizable paper planner is the Midori Traveler’s Notebook. Choose every layout type, paper, and booklet. You can add pockets, business card slots, and even a pen loop! Speaking of pen loop… No good planner comes without a/some cool pen(s). I personally prefer fountain pens, but I know many bloggers LOVE to color coordinate! Throw in some colored gel pens with a fancy paper planner, and the gift is sure to be a hit!
2 | A Paid-For Year Long Membership for a Photo Editing Service
Photography is our jam. Seriously, I mean it. However, beautiful, pin-able photos don’t always happen organically. There is a lot of editing that takes place. There are a few online photo editing resources that are great… but they cost money. For an inexpensive and thoughtful gift, give your blogger friend a membership to a site like Picmonkey.com. It’s truly the little things that mean so much to us.
If you’re not sure if your blogger friend has a membership already, you could always put $20 on a gift card and attach a message that the gift is for membership services to his or her favorite photo editing service!
3 | A Cheeky Mug
If there’s one thing all bloggers adore, it’s an everyday object with fun words on it. Just search “blogger mug” on Etsy, and your page will be filled to the brim with exactly what I’m talking about.
4 | A Blogging E-Course
This one may or may not be for every blogger, but I wanted to include it because I think a lot of bloggers would really love to receive this. Many bloggers are looking to take their blog to the next level. There are a lot of free resources available, but sometimes a paid e-course is the best option out there.
Ask your blogging friend what he or she is really interested in growing, and that will give you an idea about what kind of e-course to gift. Keep in mind that these can be fairly expensive, and you need to have an idea about what your friend’s blog is about. BUT, if done right, I think this could be an amazing gift. I’d personally love to take an e-course on photography!
Bloggers would be happy to receive any of these generous Christmas gifts, but most of all, we’re happy to share our passions with the world. Simply reading and commenting on our posts is a gift and very much appreciated.
Thanks for letting me take over your space, Britt! I’m so happy to see your little family grow my 10 fingers and 10 toes.
