More Than The Tattooed Mormon | A Book Tour and Review

Have you heard of Al Fox? I bet if you’re LDS, you have. Al is a convert to the LDS church, and has made a name for herself as a motivational speaker, and is known as “the tattooed mormon” because of the many tattoos that she has and because of a blog post she wrote back in 2013. (However she hates the name, and you can read about that here.) Al is inspirational and many young Mormons look up to her.

Al’s book, More Than The Tattooed Mormon, was just released on November 17th, and I was lucky enough to get a copy to read and review. My first impression was just how pretty the book is. The layout, the fonts, etc., just make for an eye-pleasing read. One thing I really enjoyed in the book is that while it’s her own conversion and life story, she weaves in scripture and other spiritual thoughts, and addresses the reader, in order to make it applicable to them. While reading, you feel like you are simply having a conversation with a good friend, and I loved that about the book.

Al never set out for fame, she is simply reaching out to others to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is what she says about all that she does:

It’s about you. It’s about God. It’s about overcoming, becoming better, and being happy. It’s about returning. What an extraordinary journey we’re on!

If you’re familiar with Al, I would encourage you to pick this book up! If you’re not, but are looking for an uplifting, Christ-centered book, I would still recommend it! And then let me know what you think.
