Training For a Triathlon | Month Five

Triathlon

I realized as I sat down to write this that I didn’t write an update at the end of May. Ah, well. That was still doing the craziness of life that was happening. so things like that happen. I think I did ok in May, although looking back at my goals I definitely did not accomplish some of them. But let’s not dwell on the past – on to June!

This has been (mostly) a really good month for training. I started out the month really strong with running, biking, and some PiYo. But then I got an eye infection and didn’t do anything for about a week, and of course, when you stop doing something, it’s hard to start doing it again. I was so annoyed. So basically had to re-start the habits and routines that I had just gotten into. But that’s how life goes, I guess! We’ve been doing pretty good on eating better, too, and Kyle and I are both making it a point to drink more water.

I still haven’t done any swimming, and I’m a little nervous about it. Mostly I’m just planning on, um, finishing the swimming portion, whether I walk it or not. Of course, I do want to get in a pool at least a couple of times before my tri (ha) so hopefully that will happen in July!

July Goals

  • Drink 90 ounces of water a day.
  • Go running 2x a week.
  • Ride the bike 2x a week.
  • Do a PiYo workout 1x a week.
  • Focus on clean eating.
  • Be awesome 😉

What are you fitness goals for July? Let’s motivate each other!
