Summer Picnicking

I love the summer, and I’m sure it stems back to when I was in elementary school and summer was just a huge break from school and routine. And while I don’t necessarily love the heat, I love many other aspects that make summer, summer. You might have picked up on the fact that Kyle and I are outdoorsy people. (See posts here, here, here, here and here.) We love to camp, hike (easy ones, ha), kayak and Kyle loves to ride his bike(s). We love campfires and looking at the stars. We love dipping our toes in rivers and lakes. We love boating when we get the chance, we love going to baseball games, etc. etc.

One thing we really love to do is go on picnics, since it’s a quick, easy and cheap way to spend time together outdoors as a family (or with friends). And lucky for me (and you!), Family Christian is currently running a sale on picnic items until July 16th, and I definitely recommend that you check it out — because, really, how cute are the above items?

I really love the collapsible storage cube because it’s perfect to just throw everything in that you need for your picnic! Then you can either use it to store picnic items in your house, or it collapses to take up minimal storage space if that’s what you choose to do. And I think the serving tray is my second favorite because it is just so bright and cheery! I’d eat and serve food off of that tray all day long 🙂
