Five On Friday

1 | Life These Days

Life these days is pretty normal and boring. We were sick for about a week after we all got home from our Christmas vacation. It’s taken me a longer time to get back into our routine. With being gone for 10 days, and then being sick, plus having two kids… It’s been a bit hard to find the time to do all I want to. I know that’s how life goes, but it can be frustrating at times. Luckily, my kids are super cute, so even when I’m tired and want a few minutes to myself, they still make me happy.

2 | Lunch With A Friend

My sweet friend Shaeli was going to be in town a couple of weeks ago, and offered to stop by and bring me lunch, which I promptly said “yes” to! She brought over our favorite crab and cream cheese enchiladas and her three kiddos and we had us a little playdate. I’m so grateful for good friends.

3 | Watching Mockingjay Part 2

I finally was able to go see Mockingjay Part 2! I think the last 3 movies I’ve been able to go to either on opening night or within a week of it coming out, and I have to say… It was torture to have to wait so long! Luckily, I asked my friend Emma if she wanted to go see it with me, and she said yes! We were able to catch a Saturday matinee showing and it was SO GOOD. And it was so good to see her too. Yay for girls nights days!

4 | Speaking in Church

If you’ve read this post in my LDS Faith and Beliefs series, you know that each Sunday different members of our congregation are asked to give talks on different Gospel topics. This past Sunday Kyle and I spoke which we really enjoyed, but was also pretty funny. Funny because one of us had to wrangle both kids while the other one spoke. While I spoke, Eliza pooped, and a nice woman in our ward went to change her, but Kyle gave her the wrong size diaper, bahaha. And while he spoke, I was trying to feed Eliza while stop Abe from running up to Daddy, but luckily his teacher at church was sitting across from us and was able to distract him with snacks. Ahhhh good times. But anyway, we both spoke on studying the scriptures and it went really well (or so we were told, ha).

5 | Goals

I haven’t had the chance to sit down and write up my personal and blog goals for this year. I do have them in my mind, and I’ve written about my word (well, phrase) of the year, but I have some specifics I’d love to get written down. Hopefully soon!

Well, let’s be honest, this was a pretty boring update! Ha! I guess that’s how life goes these days. But that’s ok. Life, although it’s mundane, is beautiful. Being a momma of 2 kids is busy, and I don’t have too much time to myself. But I still wouldn’t trade it for anything.
