Fashion After Baby

Hi friends! Today I’m so excited to be sharing one of my favorite online boutiques with you, Bouvardian. Bouvardian is the baby of the sweetest gal, Jana. Jana previously blogged at Life Could Be A Dream, but as her blog expanded and she learned more about herself, she found that her true passion was in fashion, and started Bouvardian to sell beautiful and unique clothes that she handpicks just for her customers. Jana has such drive, and is such an inspiration to me. In fact, she’s the main reason I started MLS in the first place! You see, I went to high school with her husband, and every so often on facebook he would post something like “Check out my awesome wife’s blog!” and me, being the blog stalker that I am, was like, ok! And it was then that I found the world of lifestyle blogging, and I’ve never looked back.

Anyway, as I mentioned above, Jana handpicks every piece of clothing in her shop, and as a momma of two herself, I know she takes comfort and simplicity into consideration when picking the clothes for her shop. I will guarantee you that she only picks things that are versatile, high quality, comfortable, and heart-eye emoji worthy.

When Jana released this shirt a few weeks ago, I instantly knew I had to have it. It screamed my name! The color, the cut, the lace details…. It was like it was made for me. I stalked my mailbox for days as I waited for it to come. And then it came and I loved it even more in person. (PS, I was planning on taking these pictures outside, but then the day we had scheduled to go take them ended up being rainy so…. Inside it was!)

Shirt: c/o Bouvardian // Skirt: DownEast Basics (old)

I first styled it with my favorite black skirt. Perfect for church! In fact, I did wear this to church on Sunday, along with some black heels. I felt put together, but I was also comfortable as I wrangled my two kiddos during the service.

Shirt: c/o Bouvardian // Jeans: Old Navy

But of course, me being the casual person that I am… Well, this top will get most of it’s wear with jeans. This cut is SO flattering. (As you can probably tell, it’s quite similar to my other favorite top shown here.) It’s loose and long, and won’t stick to any of your, ahem, curves. The color is just perfect for spring and summer, too. Oh, and I love the sleeve length. Short enough that you won’t get hot during the summer months, but long enough that your upper arm is covered (anyone else have that as a problem area??).

  • Comfortable and no-wrinkle fabric.
  • Simple enough for a day of errands with the kids, but also fancy enough for date night.
  • Flattering cut that won’t show off any extra flab you may have.
  • Modest in cut so you won’t have to worry about any extra skin showing.

Jana has other wonderful pieces in the shop – many of which follow the same guidelines above of why I love this shirt so much. I am lusting after this one and hope that she restocks it in my size soon since I didn’t pick it up when it was first released!

And because Jana is awesome, she has created a promo code for you to use! Just use the code BRITT10 at check out for 10% off of your purchase! Now go and buy all the clothes 😉

FYI, for sizing reference: I am 5’2″ and weigh between 140-145 lbs, and usually wear a size medium shirt and size 8 pants. The shirt I am wearing is a medium.

I was given free product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
