Easter

ACCOMPLISHING | my to-do list, I suppose. Or at least I’m trying to! Hopefully in the next month we’ll get Abe potty trained, too. That will be quite an accomplishment! (Albeit one I’m not looking forward to….)

FEELING | so excited! My best friend gets married on Friday, and I am just so thrilled! Tonight is her Indian party (her mom is from India) and I just can’t wait to eat all that delicious Indian food, and see her and her family. And then of course, the wedding is on Friday, which will be such a fun, amazing, happy day.

NEEDING | to go clean my kitchen, instead of writing this blog post, ha!

PRACTICING | um, patience? I feel like that’s how life goes with kids. I’m constantly practicing patience, and praying for it, too. Which is good for me. Patience is always a good thing to practice, and gain more of, don’t you think?

PINNING | recipes, as always. I made this for Kyle’s birthday and guys, it was so good with ice cream. By itself it was kind of meh, but warmed up, with vanilla ice cream on top? DELICIOUS. (PS, follow me on Pinterest to see what other recipes I’m trying out lately!)

PERSONAL |

I’m not gonna lie, I had a lot of opportunity to get some posts written last week, but I just wasn’t feeling it. It’s not that I didn’t have any ideas – I have a full editorial calendar planned – but I just didn’t want to write. Strange, huh? But it is what it is. I didn’t get ahead, and that’s ok. I’m doing great though, I’m feeling productive and optimistic and happy all around. I’m also SO excited for Easter. It’s my favorite holiday! The reason we celebrate, the candy, the time of year — all my favorite things. I love Easter. Love it.

FAMILY |

Kyle’s birthday was last Friday, and we went and saw Split at the dollar theater after the kids went to bed. (Don’t worry, D was at home in case they needed anything!) I thought it was super interesting, and that James McAvoy is a super-actor, but Kyle hated it, ha. It was still fun to go to a movie though. Saturday and Sunday were General Conference, and we had a great time listening to our prophets and apostles, as well as other various church leaders. During General Conference, our prophet announced that Pocatello will be getting a temple! You can read more on my Instagram post here, but suffice it to say we are so excited and so humbled.

GOALS |

  1. Potty train Abe.
  2. Survive the above.
  3. Plan a temple trip.

Linking up with Anne and Jess.
