I’ve been really excited about today’s post for a few weeks now. Why? Because I get to write all about the different ways women are wonderful. Because we, as women, are wonderful. However, there are so many women who don’t see their worth, which breaks my heart. I’m proud to be a woman. I really, truly am. And I’m excited to be sharing this post with you today. I hope this post helps you look into yourself, and see your worth. Because you have great worth, I promise.

Because I think women are so wonderful, I’ve been getting pretty excited about the new Wonder Woman movie (in theaters June 2nd!) and I know a lot of other people are getting excited, too. It’s exciting because it’s a super hero movie that focuses on a WOMAN super hero. And let’s be honest here, all women truly are super heroes and deserve to be recognized in the media. So many women in my life have been and are inspirations to me. And I bet you can think of some in your life, too. Here’s an idea of a little package of goodies you can put together for them, inspired by the new Wonder Woman movie. You can drop it off for Mother’s Day, or just because! All women deserve to feel appreciated and noticed. I think of dropping off some goodies as a way of saying “I see you, you’re amazing and wonderful, and I know you’re doing your best”. I think every woman, no matter what her profession is, could use something like that every so often, don’t you?

A soda and treats are my favorite things to give, because they’re just so easy to grab at the store, and drop off when you’re still out. Some other fun presents you can give are soaps and lotions, nail polishes or chap stick, or even a cute scarf, pair of socks, or a little tote! The possibilities are endless when you decide to put together a little package for the wonderful women in your life, so get crazy! Don’t feel like you have to overdo it, though. Sometimes just dropping by a soda will be as thoughtful and as appreciated as a big package. So grab what you can, and drop it by, even if it’s just a quick note to say “hi”.

So why do I think women are so wonderful? Why do I think women deserve to have some goodies dropped by their house every once in a while? I’m glad you asked. Read on for just a few reasons, and then drop me a comment below telling me other reasons you think women are wonderful! I’d love to hear them.

Women are noticers.

Have you ever noticed this, either in yourself or in another friend? We notice things, and then we remember them. Women notice if their mom’s dad’s brother’s wife’s cousin is allergic to nuts, and then remember to not send them a treat with nuts in it. Women notice if the hand soap is running low, and add it to the grocery list. Women take note of your birthday, and also remember to send you a card in time for your birthday. Women notice, they are observant, and then they put their noticing into practice. It’s amazing.

Women are nurturers.

We care, we create, we soothe, we nurture. Women have that natural tendency to care about others, to listen to them, to understand them. There is something special about the care of a woman. It’s real, it’s deep, it’s priceless.

Women are great multi-taskers.

Yes, it’s true. Women are often juggling several things at once! Doing the laundry, paying the bills, feeding the baby, etc. are all things that women may be doing at the same time. Women who work are probably using their down time at work, or their lunch breaks, to get things done for the household. I often have a running grocery list in my head, while trying to clean up around the house. Women can multi-task like no other, and can do it well.

Women are strong.

We can do more than we think. When I look at families who have gone through tragedies, it’s often the mom who has kept the family together through it all. Although she might feel like she is falling apart on the outside, she is strong because she keeps going, keeps loving, and keeps serving. We’ve all had hard times, and the fact that we’re still here is proof enough that we’re strong.

Women often give of their time and talents to serve others.

Women are often the ones who do little acts of service here and there, often unnoticed by others. They take dinners to sick neighbors, drop off a treat to a friend just because, agree to drive carpool more than their share, give up sleep to spend one-on-one time with a child. All these things and more are what women do, because of who they are.

Women have superpowers.

We really, really do. We are strong, and courageous, and beautiful, and loving. We look after our friends and family, we look after ourselves. We keep our homes clean and bright and fully functioning. We love our significant others. We share of ourselves and our time and our talents and may give up some passions along the way. We get things done. We are super heroes.

You are a woman. You have infinite worth. You are strong. You can push through.

You will make it.
