Why We Love Gerber Cereals

Gerber Cereals

I’ve posted before about tips to introducing your child to solids, and in that post I wrote a little about how we did that, and I’ve also written before some of Abe’s favorite foods (see all food related posts here). I believed I mentioned in one (or maybe more) of those posts that Abe loves oatmeal and he has it for breakfast almost every day. And now, Eliza is following suit, too.

As you’ve probably guessed by now, I love the Gerber brand. They deliver quality products again and again, and they’re a brand that has been around a long time, that I feel like I can trust. Curious as to other reasons why I love Gerber and Gerber Cereals? Read on!

Gerber Cereals

1 | Gerber offers a variety of baby cereals.

(including organic, if you’re into that!) and

2 | Gerber Cereals are the #1 leading food source of iron.

I think that’s pretty self-explanatory. And I also think it’s awesome. In fact, two servings of Gerber Cereals a day provides 90% of the iron your baby needs. Iron supports brain development, learning ability, and contributes to baby’s growth, so yeah, it’s a great thing.

3 | Gerber Cereals include Gerber’s VitaBlocks.

Gerber’s VitaBlocks which is a nutritional blend that includes Zinc, Calcium, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and six B Vitamins. Amazing, no?

4 | Gerber Cereals offers many other benefits!

They are non-GMO, and use no artificial colors or flavors. This stuff is the real deal. It’s also hearty — I’ve compared this cereal to other brands, and you can use less product out of the package, but it makes more once you’ve stirred in water/formula/milk! So it’s a great deal.

So, as mentioned, we’ve started both our kids on baby oatmeal cereal, and they’ve both loved it! As baby gets older, you can continue feeding them the cereal plain, or you can start including different purees to mix it up a bit. Eliza’s not the hugest fan of purees, but Abe enjoyed them and really liked when we did this. We pick up our Gerber Oatmeal at, where else? Walmart. We literally go to Walmart at least once a week so it’s easy to pick up our Gerber Oatmeal when we run out.
