Gift Guide Series 2016 | For Her: LuLaRoe (+ A Giveaway!)

christmas-gift-guide

I first heard about LuLaRoe about a year ago, probably? I really can’t remember. But I do remember wanting to try it for quite a while before I finally tried it earlier this year. And then — one try, and I was hooked! I may or may not own 12 pieces. This is because LuLaRoe clothes are amazing. They are soft and comfortable and I want to wear them always. They have something for everyone, and so many of their items are post-partum friendly, which I love.

If you haven’t tried LLR before, here’s a little info for you: LuLaRoe offers a variety of clothing pieces ranging from leggings, to shirts, to dresses, skirts, and even kimonos. LLR is unique, in that every consultant carries their own inventory, and they also only print a limited number of pieces using each print. Consultants can order specific items and sizes, but they don’t know what prints they will receive! Most consultants sell their inventory via facebook groups and parties, as well as in-person pop-up shops, and so it’s a good idea to join quite a few LLR facebook groups, so you get a wider selection of prints and sizes to choose from, should you want to purchase something.  And yes, LLR has some pretty crazy prints, but they also have solids and some cute prints, too! (Give me all the stripes and florals!)

My good friend Bonnie recently became a consultant for LLR, and sent me a Julia (form fitting midi dress) and a Carly (high-low swing dress) to try out, and I love them both so much. I hadn’t ventured into LLR’s dresses before and I am so glad I did. First up, here I am in my Julia. It’s a form fitting dress, and perfect for layering.

Here’s a picture where I’m not wearing the cardigan, so you can see more of the silhouette and cut of the dress.

And here’s the Carly. The Carly fits similar to a swing dress, and has a high-low hem. It’s such a comfy dress, you’ll feel like you’re wearing pajamas all day long. No, really. You will!

A quick note about LLR sizing. It’s all over the map. Seriously. I’m not sure why they do it, although it does mean you can usually wear at least two sizes in each style. Typically I am a size 8/10 in pants, and a medium in tops and dresses. I am most comfortable in a large Julia (the medium was just a bit too form fitting for me) but can also wear an XL for more of a t-shirt dress look. I wear a small Carly, but could comfortably fit in an XS for a more tunic-type look, or a medium (I would probably belt it for a more fitted look, though).

Because Bonnie is so awesome she has decided to give away one Julia (the first dress I’m wearing) to one lucky winner! You’ll be able to to choose the print and size you want from her inventory. Just enter using the widget below, and good luck!
