Prepping For Fall Activities

Fall is here! And I am just thrilled. The cooler temperatures (hello, cardigans!), the changing leaves, and fun fall activities get me every year. However, with 2 toddlers, gone are the days of just jumping in the car and heading out on an adventure. Fun outings require a little bit more prep work now, and I want to share a few things I do that make my life a little bit easier when we’re headed out as a family.

Make sure your diaper bag is stocked.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR DIAPER BAG BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME. I’m pretty sure that’s the first rule of motherhood. If your diaper bag is stocked with diapers, wipes, Pull-Ups, and snacks, then you’ll be good to go for all the activities that come your way.

3 Ways To Be A Prepared Mom

Buy in bulk so you’re never without what you need.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, buy diapers in bulk! It will save you money and heartache, I promise. We love to buy Huggies Little Movers Plus Diapers (for Eliza) and Pull-Ups Plus Training Pants (for Abe at nighttime) at Costco. It brings me so much peace of mind knowing that I’m not going to run out of these essential items! Right now, Costco is offering $8.50 off of Huggies Little Snugglers Plus and Little Movers Plus Diapers, and $7 off of Pull-Ups Plus Training Pants, so it’s the perfect time to stock up!

Fall Activities

Keep an emergency stash in the car.

Now that my son is potty trained, we never know when he might need to go right now, and that’s when we hope we’re by a bathroom or able to stop the car. If he does have an accident though, it’s ok, because I always make sure to have an extra pair of underwear and pants in the car, along with a couple of extra Pull-Ups Plus just in case. (And diapers and wipes, too, of course!) Sometimes you do forget to restock your diaper bag, or you end up being away from home longer than you anticipated and have gone through your diaper bag supply, so having a few extras in the car can be so helpful! Just don’t forget to restock if you do use them 🙂

I hope these tips will help you feel more prepared for any fall activities you enjoy this year! Visit your local Costco to prep for fall activities, save money, and #PlusUpYourFall 🙂
