Family Catch Up

Happy Friday, friends! It’s been a loooong time since I’ve shared more of a personal, family post with you guys, so I thought I’d take the time to do that today with a family catch up post! I love reading posts by other bloggers about their life and what they’re up to lately, so here we are. This will be a combination of what each member of the family has been up to, what we’ve been doing together, and some terrible quality pictures from my phone that illustrates our life lately. Enjoy!

Kyle: Kyle is still working for the state, running a parenting program for families who have teens who have been through the probation system. It’s a hard job, sometimes, but he enjoys it for the most part. He does have to work 2-3 nights a week, but we’re surviving 😉 In our church, he serves with the 12-13 year old boys, who can be a handful, but he is such a great influence in the life of those boys.

Britt: I’m still at home with the kiddos, and I love it (most days). I feel so blessed to be able to be the one who teaches my little ones all day long. I’m of course working hard on the blog, and I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished this year regarding it. I’m also working on growing my Usborne Books business, so if you’d like to earn some free and half-priced books just by hosting a facebook party, let me know! I work with the 16-17 year old girls at our church and LOVE it. Those are the girls I teach, but I also get to rub shoulders with the girls who are 12-15, too, and I love them all. I feel so so blessed to be able to teach them and help them navigate their teenage years.

Abe: Abe is 2.5 (and I’ll be writing an update on just him, soon!) and is a hoot every day. He is seriously so hilarious and keeps me laughing all day, every day. He attends a music class once a a week, which has been a lot of fun for him. He’s learning new things every day and it’s so much fun to watch his mind grow.

Eliza: Ellie is a mere 5 weeks away from turning 1 (one!). Can you believe it? I sure can’t. Our little lady has 6 teeth, loves to eat, and also loves to still wake up every 3 or so hours to eat at night (yay. not.). She has grown into such a happy little girl, and is such a joy to be around. She loves to be just where her brother is at all times, and it warms my heart to watch them play together.

Our Family: Overall, we’ve just been living life. We painted our living room, and will paint our kitchen this month, and get decorating. We’ve been going grocery shopping and hanging out at home and going on walks and playing in our yard and watching movies and just living life. We’ve gone on a couple of fun outings (see below) and celebrated my 27th birthday. Life is so, so good.
