State Of The Blog 2018

state of the blog

I started writing this at the beginning of January, so let’s go back a few weeks and see how I was feeling at the time….

Obviously my blog has struggled over the past few months. I’ve had some sponsored posts, and a few others here and there, but the quality, personality, and vulnerability I so cherish in my blog (and when reading others) has all but disappeared, and I am so sorry about that.  I generally pride myself on quality content, and it’s just not been here as often, and my posting has been sporadic at best. That’s not to say I haven’t been taking time to write the posts that did go up, I obviously did, and I wouldn’t have posted them if I didn’t think they were worth reading, but they still have been poorer quality than I generally like to publish.

My morning sickness has gotten much better over the past week or so. I have more energy, and my morning sickness has dwindled to randoms pockets of time, instead of all day, every day. My house is in better shape, we’ve been leaving the house more, and life has just over all felt happier, better, and more productive.

And so I’ve had more energy (and desire!) to spend time writing blog posts, sharing my life with you, documenting my experiences and thoughts for myself and my kids. I still love to blog, and I still love my blog! I don’t think it will ever go away for good. That said, I’m not 100% sure what the future holds in store for My Little Sunshines this year. I’ll blog as I have the desire to, and the words to say, but as we get closer to baby time, and then I hit that newborn transition and the transition to 3 kids, there are no promises on what’s going to happen, what the state of the blog will become.

I know I’ll still be here. I’ll still be writing. I’ll still be on Instagram. I want to stay in contact with you! So please, bear with me through this year of transition and the unknown. I hope you’ll still stick around, I hope you’ll still follow me on Bloglovin’. I hope you’ll be excited when I do post new blog posts. It’s still something I love so much, it’s just something that might have to be placed on the back burner this year as I come into a new routine and a new schedule.

So, there you have it. I’ve talked time and time again about how this year is going to be one of transition and grace and just figuring things out. I hope you’ll stay with me through it all 🙂
