DOING | planning all the things December and Christmas! Or rather, that’s what I did last week. I tried to get all of the planning done ahead of time, so I can focus on the here and now, and the tasks at hand each day, instead of stressing out about how I’m going to fit it all in this season. I think it’s working out so far ! It’s nice to that when I’m asked “when are we doing ____?” I can flip through my calendar and answer, “then!”.

ENJOYING | the holiday season. I sure hate the cold (it’s in the 20s in Idaho this week, brrr!) but at least the holiday spirit makes up for it. We’ve been enjoying watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music, while our home is lit by the Christmas tree 🙂

COOKING | dinner. I have a few new recipes to try this week, so we’ll see how they turn out! I ordered an Instant Pot during Amazon’s Black Friday sales, and I am so excited to try it out! I’m also going to start baking holiday treats soon, yum!

WRAPPING | nothing, yet! My wrapping nights are officially scheduled for the 17th and 18th, so I’ll be wrapping up a fury then.

PLAYING | with my kiddos. I’m trying to create a new schedule and routine that has some actual down on the floor playtime with my kids.

PERSONAL |

I had a bit of a rough week last week. I’m starting to learn that I go in cycles when it comes to my emotional and mental health. I usually have about 6 really good weeks, and then a couple of weeks when I start to feel drained and overwhelmed. I’m finding that it’s pretty normal, though. We have good weeks and bad weeks, and that’s ok! I’m hoping that in 2017 I’ll really get into a good routine and will have better weeks, overall. I’m really looking forward to 2017!

I have a few blog posts scheduled out through December, but not quite as many as usual. I need to pull back this month, but I’ll still be around!

FAMILY |

We’ve been having a lot of fun recently as a family, and we’re doing really well, other than cold after cold after cold! I love that Abe is at an age where he is really starting to be aware of what we’re doing and why, it makes things so much more fun! We opened Christmas jammies this past Sunday and he was so excited!

GOALS |

  1. Work through the prep section of my 2017 PowerSheets.
  2. Be present this Christmas season.

And that’s it. ‘Tis the season to simplify and be with family.

As always, I’m linking up with Anne and Kellie. Come link up with us!
